Crowborough Community Centre – doors open 1 June!
The new Crowborough Community Centre is opening its doors on Friday 1 June 2012. The Crowborough Community Centre is a multi purpose community and arts centre in the very heart of the town.
It provides something for everyone – from a 300 seater main hall and stage to a purpose built dance studio, from fully equipped meeting rooms, a kitchen to ‘Master Chef’ standards to facilities for cinema. The Centre has a weddings licence too!
The Community Centre is the responsibility of the Crowborough Community Association (CCA), a local charity. Funding has come from Crowborough Town Council, the Big Lottery and Wealden District Council providing the site.
The Community Centre was formally opened by HRH the Duchess of Gloucester on 18 April, which was an opportunity to recognise all those who have contributed to making the Centre a reality. Before 1 June and the public opening there is a lot of hard work to make the finishing touches!
Professionally run
The Community Centre has a Centre Manager who runs the Centre day to day and organises bookings, with duty managers to help cover the opening hours.
Opening hours
The Centre will be available from 8.30am to midnight, Mondays to Saturdays and until 10.30pm on Sundays.
