The Local Government Transparency Code 2015 (the code) came into effect on 1 April 2015. Please visit our TRANSPARENCY page for all the information required by the code including Expenditure Exceeding £500, Procurement, Local Authority Land, Community Grants, Senior Salaries/Pay Multiple/Pay Policy, Community Infrastructure Levy (CiL) spending and the councillors attendance record and allowances.

Civility and Respect Pledge

Crowborough Town Council is committed to standing up to poor behaviour and introducing positive changes which support civil and respectful conduct.

The Civility and Respect Pledge is the result of a joint project by the National Association of Local Councils, the Society of Local Council Clerks, One Voice Wales, and numerous council County Associations. The Civility and Respect project considered the impact of bullying, harassment and intimidation on local councils, councillors, clerks, and council staff – and the resulting effectiveness of local councils. Crowborough Town Council signed up to the Civility and Respect Pledge in May 2023.
