The Rotary Club of Crowborough are holding their Quiz Night raising money for local charities.

Taking place at the Community Centre on 15th November 2024. 7pm for 7.30pm start.

Quiz master is Ashdown Radio’s Simon Scales “Scalesie”

- Tea & Coffee provided
- Bar with soft and alcoholic drinks
- Raffle
- £8 per person (teams of up to six)
- You can pay on the door or online.

Apple Day

The Crowborough Community Orchard (part of Green Transition Crowborough) is hosting an apple event with family activities. apple cakes and bakes!

Make your own apple juice (bring along any surplus apples for juicing).

Health & Wellbeing Fair

It is so easy to get carried away and forget to take time to really look after yourself.

The Crowborough Community Centre have a Health & Wellbeing Fair showcasing a variety of stallholders exhibiting their health and wellbeing services and products as well as informative talks held throughout the day.

Take a moment and find some new wonderful ways to improve your health and wellbeing.

The Arts Society of Ashdown Forest October lecture is entitled: The Glories of Byzantium with Lecturer Jane Angelini

Byzantium gave us architectural forms and imagery persisting to today, including mosaics, opulent vessels in gold and the centrally planned domed churches.

Not-for-profit groups The Crowborough Players & Crowborough Community Centre invite you to join their collaboration fundraiser event - The Crowborough Community Quiz. With 5 fun rounds of questions to test your general knowledge!

Taking place at the Community Centre at 7.30pm.

All welcome! Teams of up to 10 people. Individuals and smaller groups can be put together into team on the night.

A licensed bar with drinks and snacks will be available. Please note, for ease of service, the bar will be card only.

They run groups in Sussex to engage in social activities in a supportive and safe environment.

Crowborough Miniature Railway Opening/Event Days

Every Saturday April to November

The Crowborough Miniature Railway is open every Saturday afternoon from 2pm – 5pm from Good Friday until 5th November, and Bank Holiday Monday’s

There are also a number of special events throughout the season. Please see poster below.

You can also book a private party and have exclusive use of the railway on a Saturday morning – see the website for more details.

Free Fitness Classes

Every Monday and Thursday morning

Wealden District Council in partnership with Crowborough Town Council run free-of-charge outdoor physical activity sessions led by fitness company, Our Parks.

The exercise sessions, tailored for all abilities, are delivered by qualified instructors in Jarvis Brook Crowborough at 9.30am on Mondays and Thursdays.

Music for the Memory

Weekly

Music for the Memory is a charity based in East Sussex that supports those living with dementia or memory loss, whilst also supporting their carers.

They run free, fun weekly singing sessions, understanding the importance of music and the benefits that it has.

Although the sessions are predominantly singing, there are also some vocal and physical exercises (seated or standing) as well as a short quiz.

Pine Grove Pictures

MONTHLY SCREENINGS

Pine Grove Pictures is a not-for-profit venture run entirely by volunteers.

Their main programme films are shown once a month on a Friday evening at Crowborough Community Centre (Pine Grove, TN6 1FE), The films start at 8pm with doors opening an hour earlier to provide everyone with the chance to enjoy a drink and catch up with friends.

Monthly on Tuesday afternoons, they run Golden Oldies screenings, which are great, entertaining films from the past.

These screenings are for everyone, but are particularly suited to those living alone, people with special needs and those living with dementia and their carers.
